I have a mini 4-tier greenhouse which I'm using for seeds but have a dilemma as to where to put it - i.e. whether it's best where it currently is.
Currently it's tied to an upright of a covered area, facing south. It gets sun for quite a bit of the day but obviously there's little overhead / rear / direct light so the plants bend towards the front. It has a solid, flat base.

An alternative is to put it against the kitchen window, tied to the drainpipe. Again it's a flat surface but faces west. It gets sun from early afternoon to about 4pm.

A third option is against a fence, facing south and tied to a post and apple tree trunk. Not quite flat ground, and will be shaded from mid-afternoon by a couple of nearby trees.

I would stand it against the house wall, in front of the red drain pipe.
It should get enough light there, even if it is not direct sunlight in the morning, and being close to the house will offer some protection against the chilly nights we are still having.

Yes the house wall would act as a storage heater for warmth, but in the height of summer consider that the shade from the trees later in the day could reduce watering slightly.
The slight cover form the trees might also give some frost protection

a vote for the house wall for me :)

No matter where you put it it will bend towards the greatest source of light. Could you just move it the other side of the post it's tied to as it's already in the optimum position for maximum light? Failing that the house wall is a good alternative, maybe with a little of DD's tin foil behind it. ;)

Hmm, can't really move it to the left of the post as it'll be completely shaded by the big variegated bush thing.
I think the house wall it is. Off I go :)
Thanks all.
