I remember ringing round my family, texting friends etc when we got our first egg...and you feel so proud of your girl who has layed it....congratulations!!!!x

Post by: snow white on September 23, 2012, 09:41: My RIR is laying little eggs every day. My Welsummer however is not, she just announces it for the entire time the RIR is on the nest. "Red is laying, Red is laying etc" for about an hour. Just waiting for a complaint now. :wub:

Post by: JaneS on September 24, 2012, 20:27: We are on egg no. 6 now! Had the first one last Monday, so 4 hens and 6 eggs in one week...... not sure how many are actually making the effort yet, maybe only Demelza... saw her in the nestbox and an egg in there shortly after!
