the mallard won't breed with the muscovy's, muscovy are a different species to other ducks and geese, they'll only breed with other muscovy's :)  :)

Em Er he was a small and fluffy duckling in June. I think you may be right and they are cross Muscovies. Bertie is very pretty me thinks. Not for the table though Munty :) Just seen the last post and if that is the case, well I have seen Bertie having lots of em FUN with his girls so that puts paid to the full Muscovy theory :?

and sorry to dispel the x breeding theory but the muscovy will breed with other ducks pekin is a normal cross which gives a moulard.( not sure of spelling ) and all domestic ducks have origins in the mallard  :wink:

 maybe mate im not sure after the first cross but i know fer sure that muscovy will mate with other ducks or im quackers lol
