Chalky ground
« on: January 05, 2023, 19:59 »
Dear fellow gardeners,

I have bought several grape vines as I have a perfect spot for them but they seem to like chalky ground.

What can I do to achieve that?

Many thanks in advance for the advice.

Add sufficient pelletized lime (pulverized limestone or dolomitic limestone) to raise the soil pH to 7.1 or higher.  A pH above 8.0 is not necessary.
