No actual celebration/decorations here, but I really did enjoy watching the pageantry of the Coronation and its music (love Zadok the Priest  :D) and the concert in the evening  :)

I agree.  Zadok the Priest is a must have for a coronation!

We watched it , both the Coronation and concert.  Seeing Prince George taking his role so seriously brought a tear to both our eyes.  Thoroughly  enjoyed the weekend.

Watched the coronation, we do pomp so well!  Granddaughters naval boyfriend was in the parade but were unable to pick him out.  Celebratory lunch with friends yesterday and cream tea today.  Watching the concert on catch up tonight.

I spent the morning on Saturday at my sons watching the coronation with the 3 grandchildren, they had flags up that they’d made, middle one lasted a while helping to make another flag in collage whilst it all got going with help from mummy & older sister before playing on his iPad, 2 year old just wanted to eat the glue stick but wanted to see “king, crown on “ until the glue stick caused a tantrum & he went to sleep, until I was instructed to wake him up & then sitting bolt upright & looking at the tv when I told him the king & queen had got their crowns on
Then Sunday grandchildren, mummy & I walked into the village to take a look at the street party & live music before walking to their house to help prepare for their impromptu & hastily organised ‘street’ party for the afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed it all & then watched the concert , wasn’t sure who some of the artists were, but enjoyed the ballet & the drone lights from around the country & the lights/pictures on the castle.
I used to like Lionel Richie, but a, he needs to stop having surgery & B, his voice isn’t what it was & it’s time he stopped

Dipped in and out during the day, missed nephew playing the trombone, (but it's on Youtube), but preferred
the commentary on GBNews!

The village did everyone proud too, with shows, parties and a film even, but I wish we could have 'quiet' fireworks on these occasions...

No country does pomp and circumstance better than The British!

To see King Charles divested of his robe before being anointed made him look so vulnerable and was quite a moment for me. The other thing was the orchestra playing Jupiter from Holtz Planet Suite especially because the slow middle section music is used for the hymn "I vow to thee my country."
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I loved all of it. The music before the service itself (Radio 3 had an uninterrupted stream, so I muted the TV and put the subtitles on), the service music and pageantry. I agree with GG about feeling the vulnerability of Charles before he was re-robed. Pity about the reduced fly past, but at least the Red Arrows got through along with the Chinook helicopters  :D

Loved the concert too. A friend had been one of those invited, so got his photos and short videos on social media too - Kermit in the Royal Box made me laugh out loud
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I don't have a radio so I missed hearing all the music beforehand in its entirety because a lot of it was overshadowed by Huw Edwards speaking unnecessary comments over it.

Nephew playing trombone on the right, thinning and greying a bit, looking a bit like his Grandfather...

(nothing like his Uncle...;0~)
