Photos of owls.
« on: August 28, 2021, 15:36 »
I love owls and am trying to find some really good ones which I can print out and frame. Anyone know of a good source online?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Just Google by 'Images' then type in 'owls', Goosey - there are loads there, so click on an image, wait until it loads then either 'drag and drop' it to the desk top on your PC, or 'copy and paste' it to the same desktop.

Should work!

What Growster suggested should do the trick.

One of my favorite owls here is the barred owl, they are large, handsome, and sound like lunatics escaped from an asylum at the right time of year, when they are social.  To hear an audio clip, check out: https://www.audubon.org/news/hear-many-different-hoots-barred-owl

We hear these owls during most any week of the year, any time it is dark or nearly dark, but especially at 3:00 or 4:00 AM ,right outside our window!

What a fabulous recording, SubP!

I guess the only owls we hear around here are a common breed, but I haven't a clue which is which!

Just realised. There is a bird species called Little Owl. It also can turn its head 360 degrees!!!

Then I presume the Little Owl's head-turning creates a shorter circumference so it can turn its head in smaller spaces thus keeping its upper plumage neatly preened.  :nowink:

We used to have a gorgeous cat - Chloe - who seemed to be able to turn her head through 360 dregrees!

Elder daught thought she might have had some owl blood in her...

Didn't know cats could fly!  ::)

We still have loads of scratches on cupboards and bannisters, all over the house from our various catly chums...

We rather like them as those boys and girls were real chums, and we just loved them all!
