Yesterday I received Seeds of Italy and Marshalls - today it was Kings, DT Brown, Mr Fothergill's and Thompson & Morgan . A couple are as thick as a paperback novel ::)
I have already ordered all the seeds I need for this year - so they're going straight in the bin, What a waste of paper, as I order what I need on-line, so there's really no need for them...
-
Yup, the catalogues we had are all in the bin, as we really like popping up to High Banks and buying seeds - they're all fabulous guys and gals!
Have to cofess that we get geraniums and bizzy lizzies online though, as the plug plants are certainly much cheaper, and anyway, HB don't stock small plants, just the bigger ones...
-
I've managed to unsubscribe from receiving catalogues from firms I have ordered online from - there's usually an option on one of the emails you get when you order something online. Or you can unsubscribe from catalogues on the way through an order.
-
I assume that many still want catalogues through the post, otherwise why would they go through a print run.
But I just order online and have done for many years, so no more catalogues in the bin.
I'm sure somewhere they all have a way to unsubscribe from mailing out via their account options.
Or, use the return address on the sent out package and send the catalogue back, with a note asking for you to be removed from the mailing list. That has worked for me many times over the years.

as I order very little on line I rely on catalogues I find its the best for me I do order some things over the phone I have already received seed from kings waiting for some to arrive from DT brown and my order from Moles seeds including my seed potatoes are planned for delivery at the end of January
all our flower plug plants have been ordered last September for delivery April I don't buy any seed from G/C or any other outlets all our seed are purchased from seed catalogues only
actually the seed catalogues come handy when I'm finished with them to light the fire in the wood burner

I’m a bit of a Luddite ! , l love leafing through a good colourful catalogue , picking and choosing- then changing my mind a few times before making my order .
Most is done through our allotment association so decent discounts and a kickback to the assoc. is obtained :)
-
Just had a thought……if you have ordered on line previously , surely the seed company could email a down loadable catalogue rather than posting a paper one ?. :)
-
I hope they don't stop sending me my seed catalogues or won't have anything to light the wood burner you can keep your on line ordering :D

I don't get any seed catalogues, am I a weird person or what ? :D

I couldn't possibly comment

Marshalls sent us their catalogue yesterday, and it weighs just under twelve ounces.
My treasured 1988 catalogue weighs just under two...
Let's hope they sponsor a few tree planting programmes pretty soon!

I'm waiting for my next seed catalogue because I'm running out of paper to light the wood burner :D :D :D
