My Pieris has shed its seeds onto the soil surrounding it (its only a smallish bush).  Does anyone know if these will take or would it have to be a cutting?  Thanks Carol

I don't grow pieris, so I'm not familiar with them. Perhaps this article has what you need.

We've got a couple of Pieris, and they shed all sorts of stuff, but the seeds have never self-germinated.
 
They can be layered, and are shallow rooted, so need some rain occasionally.

I love this shrub, it has so many attributes, and even today, I was just staring at one of ours, and noticing how smart the foliage is!

Thankyou for the replies - I think I will try the layering    They are a beautiful plant Growster - the flowers on them are amazing
