Ouch a year!! Ive hurt my back for a few weeks but cant imagine the pain of a year  :( Hope you are feeling much much better

Good to hear the pots worked, now, what were they?  :D
Yep its been a long and agonising year, but im back with a vengance. I have just constructed 4, 1 meter tall raised beds to combat the back!!
The pots were those peat type paper ones, u grow on the window sill and then just plant them straight in the ground where they break down and feed the plant.
new to this, so all help and advice is greatly appreciated and well needed!!

i put all my spuds in at teh same time ( about 2 weeks ago) and earth up at the same time.some have just come up so ill be earthing up a bit more this week.i work on the theory to get as much growing is as poss b4 blight strikes and u have to chop the haulm off.
leek seeds have only just gone into a large pot , i usually planted them out into the space created by the lifted first earlies.

Sounds good mickeyboy - all the show growers use deep raised beds, most would cringe at planting in the soil  :D

Seriously, you can get marvellous results that way.
