I went to see a friend who was giving me a couple of marsh daisies this morning and what funny little things they are!
BUT.....I came back with 2 marsh daisies, 2 Orpingtons and a Polish bantam ??? ??? :D :D :D
Well he did need homes for them :D :D
I will post pics tomorrow as we are rushing out now for a family dinner but my flock has now just doubled lol

Hi im fairly new to keeping chickens,ive had them for about 6 months now and i never knew how many different wonderful breeds there were so once you get a couple and realised how much character they have then u want more lol :tongue2: Me and my partner wanted just a couple of chickens so we cud have fresh eggs so we went to look at some chicks and came away with 6 lol but they were all different colours lol i didnt want the normal brown laying ones.We now have 30 and 10 ducks lol

rach 312 you sound like my daughter she went out too by half a dozen she now has( well the last i heard anyway she may come on and up date ) 15 hens 15 ducks she brought a bigger coop she now says to oh she needs more birds so they can keep each other warm lol i think he fell for it :)

Hi Dennis, :D Its addictive i never thought it would be,everyone ive spoke to has said that they ended with more than what they wanted,i made the mistake also of going to a poulty auction so i was bidding against the butchers. :mad: i won most of them :D

I DID have 15 ducks, A fox got 5 of them last night / early am :( :( :(

The polish bantam is most odd looking :D :D :D :D Thanks I think they are all quite colourful!

It got into the duck house Dennis, Luckly they wasnt all in their or it would of been much worse, The rest had gone into the chickens shed last night. 5 in duck house all gone >:( :( :(

rach312 be very careful with auctions i fel badly with a batch of worrens looked fine in the small pen they were in but 1died within a week had to put one down this morning and one has a bad hip 1 out of 4 was ok you can get bargains but buyer beware has always been the auction motto
