Nylon brushcutter blades

Seen these being sold for £1 each at a car boot.

Do they have any specific/additional uses to a metal blade or strimmer head?

Thought that might be more useful cutting grass next to seedlings as less likely (than stimmer head) to throw debris all over them.

there basically throw away blades,they wont realy cut grass once they loose there edge more than likely rip it out of the soil.
not bad for a quid, would they fit your strimmer is another question ?

Says on the packet that they can be re-sharpened and the central hole is exactly the same same as that in my Mountfield brushcutter metal blades.

I have used them in work and after a good battering theres not much left to sharpen.

So not cheaper than strimmer line?

(especially if bought from Wilkos when 75% off!)

there ok for heavy stuff but if theres stones/bricks/metal in the way you loose the edge,thats what there for realy saves killing your metal brush cutter,
