I don't know if this is in the right place,

Has anyone seen the advert for, A Penine Kitchen Garden DVD or Video, i saw it advertised in grow your own magazine and kitchen gardener  :?:

I'm thinking of getting them, but at £120 for the 12 issues, i don't want to get them if they are no good. :?

So, has anyone got any, and are they any good. :?:

Personally I think it's far too dear. Get a book out of the library.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

It is exspensive but i don't mind paying, once i'v got them, i'v got them for good.

Each one is three hours long, but if they are poor quality or poor content then it would be a waste of money.

Just wondering if anyone had any info. :?:

Saw the February episode, can't recommend it. It looks very amateurish - long pauses with nothing going on, mumbling, strange camera angles etc. Waffling on about how much of a supermarket soup is made from real mushrooms wasn't very entertaining or informative and their gardening expertise was fairly basic. Later in the film the guy really lost the plot & started yammering on about politics, streuth................. It will however make a good birdscarer on the allotment

Is that free with the magazine...so you would get the magazine too?

I used to subscribe to the mag for a year it was ok but i found after a year it started to repeat itself.

Yes it was free with a magazine called "Let's Grow Veg" aimed at beginners I would say. The DVD came with a load of free seeds, a fairly cheesy wall chart & some nice pink plant labels, the mag was £9 mind you, just hope the seeds are ok

£9 for a mag.....wow, that's dear.

I know they are giving away 10 packs of T&M seeds but you can get the same seeds free from The Sun every year if you keep your eyes peeled.....well if you send P&P, i usually get flip flops, book, sunglasses and seeds OH sends for them every year and they are always the same seeds.

I would go for Gardens News....a newspaper type of mag but with good solid advice or Gardens Answers....
check this site out.
