Title: cockerels needing a home
Post by: ruggief on August 30, 2006, 18:46
Hi, we've raised chicks in an incubator as part of a Biology experiment,  (not on the chicks)  allowing the boys to watch for changes in the eggs by candling them and by watching the chicks developement.  We're happy to keep the hens in our back garden but are not able to keep the cockerels.  We have 3 handsome white crested black polish bantam cockerels which are 14 weeks old.  We also have gold and blue silkies which are slightly younger and therefore we are unable to accurately sex although by the growing speed we feel sure there are cockerels there too.  Anyone interested please contact, they are free to a good home, we are in south Oxfordshire.  If not can anyone suggest somewehere that could take them as we are reluctant to cull them that would be a last resort. We would happily donate food, etc to a shelter taking them. Thanks so much for asisstance.
