we lost a peacock today

she died in my arms  :cry:  :cry:

it had what looked like part of its intestines hanging out its bottom

a long tube about 1 inch across and about 6 to 7 inches long  :shock:

How sad, was it a cock or a hen? My hens are laying at the moment, refusing to sit this year but never mind, they can have a year off. They lay so many eggs over a short time and the eggs are big, as they're not laying for most of the year, I suppose their "bits" can get strained.

Do hope it died peacefully and not in any pain. These times are horrible, when we wonder whether we really want to keep animals.

yes it was a hen but she was in pain i was going to take her to the vet

but she died as i held her
