Just been out for a measure and was really surprised.. Something good has come out of 2 weeks of rain...  Fingers crossed they don't vanish.

8 largish pumpkins the 2 biggest 53 and 52 inches girth.

Ah, the old "two tape measure trick!"

Only joking; those look brilliant (and no, I've never grown them - struggling to even get my little winter squashes to deliver this year!)  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Hang on - don't think it's a level playing field!

Says he who's pumpkins only threw up their first male flowers today.  :(
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Atlantic Giant. For some reason it started off with a green tinge.

Mine are about football size but similar to pompeyspud atlantic giant but not quite right. Seed from same pkt as last year but green stripey fruit more like a cross between a pumpkin and marrow in shape :( but its all part off the fun of growing ::)

Ooh got a second pumpkin growing bit bigger than a cricket ball
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

I've got two fruits on my atlantic giant that are growing. Both bright yellow and the size of a grapefruit at the moment. Fingers crossed.
