Can I post a utube link on here? I opened my garden to the public last sunday and took a rather wobbley 4 minuet video tour for my friends, I'd love to show it to my fellow gardeners on here.
I do plan on making my allotment kinda match my garden....

Congratulations, it looks like there's a bit of work to do an it will be hard work getting it how you want it.

But as someone told us, "Slow and steady and you'll get there in the end".

Have fun oh and take lots of pictures they help show you how far you've come from when you first started  :D

Well, none of the mods have said you can't, so why not give it a go? When you post the link, it might be useful to give people an idea in the post of how long it will be so as they know what to expect.

Well done, what a transformation to your back garden & what a good idea the plant pots are around the edge of your beds.might be copying that :D. Will you change your veg beds & just grow veg at the plot? Your cats made me laugh, they worked so hard to get you to take notice of them, especially the white one

Oh yes, a lot of stuff is going up the lotty, my veg beds are exhausted so they can have a break next year, I'll be getting my son to start dragging all the large planters up there as soon as I've cleared the weeds. I'm going to grow so much more now, my garden can have a break and just be full of flowers now.

Lol!  Very Old lady in one of the other plots walked past and told me sternly "I hope your not going to do anything silly." (to my allotment I can only presume)

so, naturally....now I'm going to try and grow the most silliest veg i can find....

That's a major garden transformation - really impressive! (And I love the cats!)

What a lovely welcome to allotment life... ::) Definitely a cue for the silliest thing you can find - outlandish scarecrow perhaps? We have a mannequin on our field.

You have a truly lovely garden. You must have worked hard to get it like this.

Maybe the elderly lady simply meant that she hopes you are not going to work yourself into an early grave by trying to do too much all at once on the plot. I'm getting on in years and I know that things that I say that I think are perfectly clear turn out not to be!

As for the silliest veg, I've always thought walking-stick kale sounds absurd. The closest thing to a palm tree that you could grow in the north. But it can't be that silly because lots of the big seed suppliers sell seeds for it.

Love the idea of a mannequin for a scarecrow, Surbie. Does it get a change of wardrobe every now and then?

WOW!  What a stunning garden.  I loved the variety of flowers and the hanging baskets were beautiful.  It's given me ideas to grow stuff in my hanging baskets other than flowers.  If only I could get my cat to keep still for a moment, I could get a few snaps of her on camera!

Keep posting photos of your allotment - I'm sure it's going to be a lovely sight when you're done.

Even better start a Diary - It's great to review the year once the season is over, it's winter, dark and wet and you have done the sorting and buying of even more seed to death. Plus we all like to see what people are up too and of course photographs (as long as they are the right way up:nowink:

Thanks for all the complements about my garden, its now going to get a bit of a revamp over winter as I move a lot of stuff to the allotment, all my plastic unsightly pots are going and i think I'll move my little apples trees, rhubarb and fruit bushes, they will do so much better up the lotty and it means I can have even more space for pretty flowers at home. I will start a diary page, be good to keep some sort of record of it all.
