Isabella apricot tree
« on: June 10, 2010, 22:14 »
It had a few flowers last year that came to nothing as the pot it was in was too small. We planted it in the ground last autumn & so far no sign of life except orange coloured sap is rising & oozing out of the main young trunk & occasionally a branch, now & then, so I know it's still alive. Thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance, Mash.

With not getting any replies I surfed around & the advice I found was to scrape the bark a little. It was green beneath so it is alive & apparantley dormant, probably concentrating on root development. With any luck, next year we might have buds & things, I'll just have to wait & see  ;)
