Total Mite Killer
« on: April 09, 2011, 19:17 »
Has anybody tried Total Mite Killer by NetTex?  Is it any good?  I bought a bottle last week, have used it for the first time today, it was £15 for a small bottle so not cheap  (in my eyes anyway).  It has a (pongy) lavender smell to it (I don't like lavender  )

Cheers!

I've got some & the spray which I've found effective so far (touch wood) as a preventative. The spray & liquid has a 3 month residual effect. You can get it cheaper online. Petmeds have it for £9.26 for 2L.

I used this from solway feeders which was brilliant. I thought I wasn't going to get rid of them last year untill I tried this.

legally most people cannot use creosote, and it should not be sold to the general public.
Here are the details from the HSE:-

Mite Kill spray is very expensive doesn't go very far and only works for spot treatment if in contact.  Not a viable treatment when you can get a pesticide treatment for half the price which for one application will keep your house free of RM for a year before reapplication.
