Hi there Marmalade came out of her brood about a month ago but today she has gone broody again, is this normal? I have never heard of it happening

I have silkie cross bantams that seem to go broody at the drop of a hat

me too - Dannii lays a couple of eggs, goes broody, lays a few eggs - this happens every year between April and October - then she stops laying till March

And us!  our 2 silkies are nearly always broody, we may get a few eggs, then off they go again!  And our Light Sussex is the same.
