I did point out that George had literally started a pissing contest and there was a solution but Nick wouldn't wee on the cat so George won and he knows it, even after castration!

Cats always win  :lol:  and even when they don't, they refuse to ackowledge they were ever in the wrong, deny everything while fixing you with a withering stare, then stalk off in disgust with their tails held high  :lol:

It is a (backhanded) compliment - She is starting to bond and gets anxious that you might not still be there when she wakes.

We had that with one of ours after he had spent a fortnight in a cattery.  He meowed to wake me up, so I acknowledged him, he was then convinced I was still there and we both settled again.  And repeat.  Initially several times a night and then slooooooowly reduced down as his anxiety level dropped.  Took a year before he was completely confident again.  (Never again did he go into a cattery. ::)
