what preperation is required for onions, how do i make an onion bed :( :(

I was thinking of following last years maincrop spuds

just dig it over and add a general fertiliser like growmore, bfb etc

 i agree with mattwragg94 growmore is a good choice i use wood ash as well as fertilizer and i also put dung on the ground to overwinter on the plot

If you have any well rotted manure put a good layer under the top 3-4" of top soil  :D
