....as well as layers pellets?

My girls won't touch anything, they are around 30 weeks now so I thought they would get more adventurous but no chance!  I have offered in small amounts brocoli - no, carrot - no, apple - acted as though I had tried to poison them, spinach - no, cauliflower - no, green beans - no, grapes - no, banana - no, sultanas - no!!!  All they like are dandelion leaves, brown rice, spaghetti and mealworms, luckily they love their layers mash and I get an egg every day from each of them so I am assuming they are happy and healthy with the diet they get!

My ex-batteries wouldn't eat any greens until I gave them baby spinach and now they seem to eat all sorts, including tomatoe leaves. They love pasta too.

Sounds interesting! I must just pop out and munch a borage leaf or two !;)

I make home made wine and Borage leaves used to be added to wine and given to soldiers/warriors in anglo saxon times so that they would have courage. In those days courage and borage were promounced the same way.
Maybe the borage made them hallucinate and think they had a chance at winning!

This stuff in my garden is Alcanet though and is traditionally used as a dye.
I wonder if they would be ok with it.
Would the chickens be able to tell is it was ok for them?
