A couple took on half a plot next to mine two years ago, and like many new tenders thought if you get it rotaveted, bung some seed in and come back in 4 months time you will have some produce! 

Well the half plot (10m x 40) was coverd in weed 3 foot high begining to turn to seed, so i made a phine call to the chairman and was informed they have give it up, and i could take it on rent free until April - then i have to pay - wait £7.50 per year!!

So in the rain tonight it has all been strimmed, waiting for some dry weather to cover in glysophate, then rotovate, rotovate, rotovate and hopefully ready for next year

Check what perennial weeds you have.  Don't rotavate if you have mares tail - glyposate is not very good at killing it.
