Title: walnuts

Just found 2 huge walnut trees, asuming I get to them first when they fall, how do I store them please.

Not the trees, I presume?  :lol: :lol:

Once the nuts are ripe and brown they will come out of the green outer skin/covering. It is best to store the nuts still in their brown shell, as they are very oily nuts and eeasily go rancid once shelled.
 
The whole nuts in their brown shells, shoukd be dried in the sun fr a few days to make sure their is no moisture left in the shells themselves or they may go mouldy.

They can then be bagged up and stored in a cool dark place and will stay in good condition for at least  months. (Never kept any for longer than this)
