Driving Licence

I got a letter in March telling me mine ran out on 20th June.   I immediately applied for a new one on 13th March.       Today it has arrived.         Just one of those lockdown things which niggles away in the back of ones mind.          Mrs Bouquet

Good evening everyone, as some of you know I have a  Choroidal melanoma (a cancerous freckle on the rear of my right eye).  I've had proton beam therapy,  prior to this my eyes were constantly watering, now I have a name for that as well,

Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) is a common eye condition, yet many people don't realize they have it. You get it when there's a problem with a few dozen tiny glands in your eyelids that help make the oil layer of your tears. Without oil your eye just keep pumping out saline tears.  (A reet begger).

I don't think I'll have my driving license for much longer!   >:(   Cheers,  Tony.

Congratulations on your renewal.

My son just passed his driving test today.

Free taxi , then     One card I received when I passed mine many years ago said ' It takes thousands of nuts to make a car but only one to wreck it'. As you can see it stuck in my mind ever since.

I hate driving and regard it as a necessary evil but it is one of those skills that I value for the independence it gives me.  Am so glad that my Dad encouraged me to learn. He said I would thank him and he was right!
