Can anyone help me I am looking into replaceing my old and crummbling greenhouse, but can't afford a new one. I thought a poly tunnel may be the answer, how do you stop them blowing away? I live on top a very big hill! All the web sites say easy to erect but nothing else.

They are easy to erect. I found that if you manage to stop them blowing away, with guy ropes.......then the frames just break

Unless you mean the proper sort made by First tunnels etc.............but then these are as expensive as a proper greenhouse, so don't think they are what you meant!

In what way is your greenhouse crumbling? can you not repair it, be more cost effective I would think

PS the homemade ones are strong if you fancy the DIY

I built heavy staging in mine and attached the polytunnel supports.

Then buried the end of the plastic cover in the ground.

So far (2 years) so good,
