I have grown lots of sunflowers from seed, they are all ready to plant out..But is it too early?
I live in the southeast of england. thanx

My self sown ones are up outside, you can either risk it and plant them or pot them up, or hedge your bets and do half and half.

Hi, Just a note to say hello.
Did you know that today (1st may) is "Guerrilla Gardening" sunflower sowing day around the World?
It's a group that I joined on facebook and they go around the Country/World brightening up run down and neglected areas to make them a bit more colourful. I'm going to go through my seed box to get some sunflower seeds, take a drive out and do some sowing. I just need to have a think of places here in Peterborough where I think need brightening up.
As to planting out yours which have alreadey grown, it may be a good idea to wait til after the last frost of may before you plant out ALL, just in case some die off in the cold.
By the way, Guerrilla Gardening has its own website to look at, just in case you have any spare seeds.

What a fantastic idea English!
Sunflowers are one of those flowers that always put a big smile on my face. It must be wonderful for people who wouldn't normally see them, to be surprised by them flowering in places normally bereft of colour.
