« on: July 11, 2008, 20:11 »
I am looking to start keeping chickens on my allotment have built pen, coop etc only waiting for the chickens themselves!! The problem is i can seem to find any in the northumberland area. I live near the coast 15 miles north of newcastle if anyone knows of a breeder or supplier in the area please let me know.

Am all ready and excited   but still no birds!!

Hi emma we have some lovely peeps on here from your neck of the woods they are known on here as flatcap,  and i am sure they will point you in the right direction.  I live a bit further down in chester le street and could point you too somwhere here, but there will be lots closer to you.

good luck and welcome

Hi Emma
I'm also getting everything prepared for getting my first chickens.Sorry I don't know your area, but I'm sure someone will be able to help you on this forum.I've been looking at loads of websites to find suppliers.I just typed in' buying chickens in lincolnshire' & lots of sites come up.I managed to find 9 places all within 1 1/2 hrs away.Wouldn't want to go much further than that.Hope you have some luck x  :D

I forgot to say hello its my first post!!
I have only had my allotment a month but its 2 plots down from my grandparents allotment so some help is at hand!! But only on the growing side of things they dont keep chickens.

Have searched the net and ad papers, not having much look unfortunatly   !!

Gonna do abit of gate to gate round the allotments and see if anyone knows of anywhere, worth a try
