Hello TonyH

Its only a few degrees over and not for too long a period, incubating at too high a temp early can result in blood ring in candling and small embyo at pipping.
Hopefully you noticed it in time good luck

It would need to have been that high for enough time to heat the eggs right through to the core.... not just a quick spike that went down again fast :)

Give them 24 hours and candle one or two to see if they are still wriggling :)
I love Pekins, Polands and Seramas :) and eggs!!!

Prolonged high temp throughout incubation can also lead to them hatching early. I couldn't work out why all my hatches were coming up to three days early until I checked and found that the calibration was wrong and although it said it was 37.5 it was actually 38.9! A lesson in trust no-one and check everything yourself! (I am of course assuming my thermometer is truthful!!!  ;))

Hi Tony, hopefully if it was a one off then you might be lucky.  What day are you on?  As the embryos develop they can take a shock like that the more they are developed.

If the temp went on for hours you might be unlucky.

How many thermometers to ou have in your incubator?  I always have two just in case one malfunctions.

A spike in temp for no obvious reason from 99.5 to 115 might be a thermometer issue rather than an incubator issue :)
