What I did last week
« on: August 08, 2022, 11:19 »
I thought it might be worth noting down what I did last week, day by day. Although I didn’t feel as if a lot got done, seems it did!

I'm exhausted just reading that!

Out of interest, which string(s) did you get?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Hi a busy week for you, bet you could have done without the drains issue.
I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time last year when someone donated a huge roll of baler twine to the garden club & a donation of cash secured it for me . What clips do you use for your tomatoes please as I ‘just’ wind them around the string, but they do snap occasionally in doing so!

I'm afraid the drains are very prone to blockage - but the cost of replacing them .....

Yes, I got fed up of snapping the leader by accident. My first lot of clips were good quality and last for at least 4 seasons mainly. Now all I seem able to get are the cheaper ones and 2 seasons is doing well for them. There are biodegradable clips but minimum was 500 :(

Thanks John, shame they are plastic again & I feel that about my twine too, but I’m hoping with care it will last a while though
