Good afternoon everyone,
preparing for our holiday (3 weeks in Greece) and I have some chilies in the greenhouse ready to plant in the raised bed, I have some plastic boxes care of Wilkinsons wild bird suet food, I expect you know the ones.
Should I cover the chilies which are 2" tall with the boxes thinking the inceased humidity would be benificial or just leave the chilies to the elements?
Cheers, Tony.

Id be more concerned about cooking them, should we ever get any sunshine than the cold at night. Id leave them as is.

Agree with the post above, I'd do the same
Have a good holidays!

The chillies aren't growing very fast...at some stage do I nip out the growing tip?
Cheers, Tony.

Leave them to get on with it, just give them a good feed.

The reason I asked I reading the "Gardener's World" guide and it said nip out the tops at 20cm, so after converting I find that this is only 8"(inches)! I find this hard to believe. Thanks and cheers. Tony.

(in my opinion :)) Pinching out can help make bushy if they are that size by March, by this time of year it will just stall the plant.
