I've only received tiny plug plants through the post, but they were in pre-packaged plastic modules shaped to contain the moist compost for each plant and to protect the leaves.

I would ensure that the compost is moist (not dripping), and well wrapped up e.g. in foil or clingfilm.  Use a sturdy box with lots of packing material to prevent the plants moving around.  And perhaps pay a little more for 24 hour tracked delivery.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

One of our very kind members sent me some plants through the post last spring.   He had carefully wrapped them.   I planted them and they were glorious.    Thank you again kind member.    Mrs Bouquet

Hello if the plants are in small plugs damp some compost squeeze it around the plug till it's about an inch round then wrap in news paper, place the plants in a plastic bag and carefully fold over, then pack in a box depending haw many you send, I find that the boxes that smart mobile phones come in are ideal as they hold half a dozen plants,3 each way then I put them in a recycled jiffy bag    jezza
