Another mild night, so all but the peppers stayed in the greenhouse, but the sunshine is hazy this morning and not warming up as quickly as the last few days.
We could do with some rain here, never satisfied are we?  :D

Dull and misty here, 10C.

According to the Look North weatherman, Yorkshire has had only 10% of its 'normal' rainfall for April so far, and  my local weather station reports we've had no rain at all here since the 7th April.

10C at midday and some serious rain started about 11 this morning, just as forecast. Which is why I was busy transplanting beans and sowing carrots and parsnips earlier in the week. A few days of rain to get them all settled!

An overcast day with a rather cool breeze.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Rain started just before midday and has been more or less constant since. Odd bit of thunder too.

Cold and raining with a strong wind. I've got the fire lit in the front room and the convector heater on behind me as I type so it's back to the thermals for me.  :(

It's mild 13C, wet, and windy - good luck to those felling the full force of the storm.

A quick look over the allotment fence shows all my autumn sown broad beans have been knocked flat, just as the small pods were starting to develop.

A bit breezy but bright.  No rain (yet).  According to the outdoor thermometer it's 16 degrees on the patio but it doesn't feel that warm due to the breeze.

Windy enough that it's blown over the staging in the polytunnel and possibly destroyed all my chilli and tomato plants.

Oh that is not good  :(  Hope you can salvage some of them.

Here is has been fairly cool, very windy and occasionally piddling it down.  Not great, but I think we are getting something a bit better tomorrow.

It's been quite gusty today, enough to stop me going to get the paper - but we've had no more than a quick shower, which hardly collected in the buckets/saucers - so some more rain would certainly help here.
There is some in tonight's forecast (23% chance according to the BBC, 60% according to MetO  ::) ) so fingers crossed !

It's been sunny most of the day but a rather cool breeze makes it not really nice to be out in the garden.

It was a pleasant change to wake up this morning to see some blue in the sky and the trees not dancing round like some demented music conductor.
However, when I got down to the plot to survey the damage I was not so pleased. The broadies have taken a real battering, with some stems torn from the plants.

Quite cool (I'm chilly) with grey sky, but at least the wind has dropped.
The BBC is warning of cold weather later in the week

You might want to get your geraniums inside before the weekend. Chilly snap on the way with a widespread frost Friday night!

My local forecast says there may be a frost here tonight  :(  so I'll have to cover my potato pots later  ::)
