PICS OF HOME MADE FEEDER IMAGINATION NEEDED

This is the pics of the feed and water container we saw at a lovely chicken breeders.
I had to improvise the box.His was made a snug fit in thicker wood with a wood handle over the top.But this is just to get an idea.
When i asked him about it he said its clean and doesnt get knocked over and he replaces the milk cartons regular.
Not sure what all you experts will think but it looked like it worked well.

not bad, for feeders we now use dog bowls, they seem happer with them than the actual feeders we bought!
Graham = 2x Border collie Dogs, 2x Cats, 1x Wife, 2x Kids, 2x Hamsters and now 10x chickens.

Improvised feeders
At a recent poultry sale I saw old milk containers used in a similar way. The top of the containers had  been cut at a sharp angle diagonally away from the handle to leave the handle in place and then using the handle tied to the coops so that they could not be knocked over. Hope this makes sense!

SorryAunt Sally and Bodger for the error it was my fault it should have been on CC.Iput a pic on chatting on the plot instead of whos who yessterday.
Getting back to the feeder thing, when i saw it they were all clean and fresh with no spills. Its also a good way of double recycling, using the cartons again before recycling.

I just remembered. If you put feed in there (layers pellets) Wouldn't it get stuck at the other end and the chooks couldn't get to it ?

It will work well with the water becasue it will flow but I don't know how it would work with feed ?
