Title: one egg then none for 5 days !

hi there, i bought 2 little banties on thursday - and 1 laid an egg in the box on the way home....now 5 days later nothing at all!! is that normal or has she had a trauma being moved home? anyone else got any experience of this - do you think she will start laying again of her own accord or should i encourage her with layers mashetc?? i know she hasnt gone broody and they both seem pretty relaxed now they are in their new home. any thoughts anyone??

It is probably the trauma of being moved, she will start laying again it could take up to two weeks.
Feed her layers pellets or mash (I personally prefer pellets).

Hello Lucylou,
What food are you giving the banties?  How old are they?
Have layers pellets down all day for them to eat ad lib.  Also grit and oyster shell.  Fresh water daily too.
They may take a week or two to settle in.
