Title: ivermectin eprinex - internal & external parasite killer
Post by: rainie on July 15, 2008, 14:59
Can anyone tell me more about this product please. I did a bit of research on this site at the weekend but cant find the info now.

I believe it cant be bought over the counter, only from a vet. I think it isnt licenced for chickens but believe it does a good job, a drop is added to the back of the chickens neck.
I asked at my local vets yesterday but they wouldnt let me have any unless they saw my chickens. With a £20 consultation fee, didnt know how much the medicine would be.
My chickens are due to be wormed and they also have a few lice which I thought I had got rid of.
This morning I dosed them all with farmyard louse powder and put flubenvet in their breakfast, and apple cider vinager in their water.

I have a bit in this topic about it:

If you have flubenvet already I'd stick with that as there is no egg withdrawal time.  Some barrier louse powder will deal with the lice and again with no egg withdrawal time !
