The september heat wave ripened of my figs.  They were on a free standing tree not by a wall.  Could not believe it when I harvested them.  I never expected to get any, so what a great harvest that was.  (Popped them in the oven with some honey and ate them with a big dollop of clotted cream) 

Did anyone else get an exotic crop they never expected?  Anybody got any passion fruit.  I may have a go at that too
