Poorly Hen?
« on: July 21, 2008, 20:56 »
I have a Hen that from the day we got her has looked in a bit of a poor state. Whenever I go to the lotty she is all plumped up and lying down. If I go near her she will move but then just flops again. She has been like this for about six weeks now and is only about 14 weeks old. She is still eating and drinking ok but not sure it's normal. Any ideas?

She sounds very poorly.  Any other symptom other than lassitude  :?:

No other symptoms Sally. She doesn't seem to be deteriorating any and has been the same for the six weeks we've had her.

To be fair I thought she would just pick up. She is eating and drinking normally and just wasn't too sure what was going on.

Bit strange, have you seen her walking much? Or is she sat down the whole time? Is she always fluffed up?
It does sound like aunty says that she needs the vet to look at her.
