I want to move my beds to a different area and wondered what is the best month to do it?

You can move raspberries any time now as they will be dormant for a couple of months or so but don't move them if the ground is frozen. with strawberries I beleive it is un wise to move established plants.

You can move strawbs when they're dormant if you also take a good lump of soil with the roots. Strawbs aren't keen to have the fine roots disturbed so if you dig the ball of soil around them, they won't even notice they've been moved. I've even dug them up in early spring this way and they've done well.

As said, anytime raspberry stalks are bare, they can be moved, again preferably with some soil around the roots for faster comeback in spring.

I moved part of an established strawberry bed (30 plants) to a new area a few weeks ago and planted with some newly purchased bare root plants, and they have been fine I actually shook off the old soil from the established plants and have even had a few flower in the mild weather recently, I'd say if you need to do it because there not where you want them to be just do it, It's not what the experts say but mine seem to have survived the move fine.

I would actually prefer to move them before fully dormant to allow the roots a chance of establishing a little before it gets to deepest winter. But just my opinion.
Faff free zone!

That was my point about strawbs in particular - they really don't go dormant. Although most of the top leaves are dead-looking, the roots are still growing, spreading and healthy.
