You have to wait for the comb differences.... by about 6/8 weeks there will be a marked difference..... you could also do a leg challenge.... boys will have trunkier legs :)
I love Pekins, Polands and Seramas :) and eggs!!!

LS can be difficult to sex even at 6 weeks so I'm affraid you'll need to wait until definite signs with their combs and wattles show and as has been said the cock stands higher and the legs are longer and more thick set.  Could be 12 weeks plus though before you are sure.

I had them as my first chicks to chickens and was only REALLY sure when they started their Cock adoodle dooing - well attempted too.  We had one chick that I was sure was a cockerel , but just a  late developer, turned out to be a butch hen - now named Tom Boy!

I have hatched several batches of Light Sussex now and find that if you have different genders to compare then its not too hard.....

Mine are around 6 weeks now and the cockerels combs are just that little more pronounced than the hopeful hens.... that said it can all change I suppose.... I managed to pick my last two batches out 100% correct though :)

I had sussed out my last batch of LS chicks with their bigger combs, longer wattles, thick set legs and more upright stance.  All the 'boys' had gone leaving only 'girls'.  At 12 weeks I sold one to a lady and 2 weeks ago when they were around 19 weeks she called me to say that 'Pearl' was now named Luke!

And the last 2 of the RIR boys the same age, may have been very tall and big combed, but skinny legs!  Would have made good ballet dancers!

One feature with LS I have noticed is that the females grow thier tail first - starting after a week, and is definately more pronounced until about 4 / 5 weeks. This has proven true this year - 15 chicks - 3 tails, oh blimey 12 cockerals!
