i sadly let some of my brocoli plants set seed, i have collected some pods and put the seeds in a paper envelope ready to sow in spring, has any one had any luck with this? if it works i could save a lot of money on seeds!

I suppose seeds must  come from somewhere (yet to a stalk on my plot) so try sowing and see what happens what have you got to lose, maybe worth buying some just in case

Even if they do not come true to the parent, you can still eat the greens.

the results depend on whether they're f1 hybrids hermon, if they are they'll not grow true to type, you could get anything.
