I'm getting itchy fingers and wont to start sowing my seeds, got my little greenhouse with a small heater in and the electric propergator, compost and a large veriety of seeds.
GAZANIA PANSY ASTER STOCKS LOBELIA ZEBRINA BUSY LIZZIE.
CHILLI PEPPERS BEETROOT SPRING ONION CUCUMBER TOMATOS .
Then i look at the weather and think it maybe better to wait a week or two.
Talking about Biusy Lizzies, a couple of years ago i sowed seeds then brought the plugs then spent £30 for plants as the seeds did nothing the plugs withered but will try again this year.
Happy sowing.

chillis can be started early, but they'd be better off in the propogator indoors. Even in the greenhouse it will be too cold for them to germinate now I should think.
I'd leave all the rest for at least a couple of weeks as well.....and cucumbers not until April/May ::)

I know how you feel Caretaker. I've been reading my garden diary and planning and more reading and more planning. It was like Spring this morning in West Wales and it was a job to hold back from rushing out into the garden to do some planting. I have to remind myself it's only February.

When ever i visit Wales we drive over the seven bridge and it rains, then 10 miles down the road and it sun shines.
I do like visiting when ever we can, we visited a mine, black something and after driving for hours we parked in the car park, turned off the engine and my wife say's no i'm not going in there, oh well it was a nice drive.

We wemt to South Wales last year and had a lovely time, it never rained once! Really enjoyed ourselves, we went from Glouster, Monmouth, Brecon to Aberystwith(sorry about spelling) and then down the coast ending up in Tenby,. The Big Pit (coal mine) is the BEST place to vist, would go there again tomorrow (if we could).

Not far from Aberystwyth. 8)
I said it was like Spring. I didn't say that it wasn't raining doesn't it rain all Spring then?
No seriously, it was positively balmy, no rain but no sunshine either.
