Free Telegraph and whisky

Quite by chance, I discovered the henley Literary festival is on at the moment. The town hall doubles as a booking office and happily that is shared with the room that the free talks are given in. The event is sponsored by Highland park whisky and the charming girl on the door seems happy to give out free samples to one and all - there's a large basket of free papers and no-one seemed to bat an eyelid while I whiled away an hour with my 10 year old, waiting for my daughter who was attending a talk upstairs.
Quite a few well-known peeps around, we saw Peter Snow boy is he tall  & Melvyn Bragg.
It finishes tomorrow, but if anyone is in the area and desperate to get out of the rain for free.... 

Sadly the samples were in little plastic tumblers, not bottles - couldn't really send the kids back to get more samples to pour into plastic water bottle, but sorely tempted!
