Potato bags
« on: January 31, 2012, 18:35 »
Must admit I read this on another thread but thought it was such a good one I would put it on this section

Instead of buying potato bags to grow your early spuds in use supermarket bags for life. I had a rummage round yesterday and managed to come up with 12 bags. So this is what I am going to use this year

Perish the thought of B B B Buying.   I use extra strength bin bags supplied by a previous employer.    ::)   Cheers,     Tony.

What if you don't have a previous employer that gives you bags?

Sounds a good idea with some drainage holes added. :)

He said "supplied" not "given"!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

As we dont recycle much because we dont buy it in the first place or make our own we use recycling bins.  also wheelie bins make great water butts :)

another thing we use are large Polystyrene boxes from places that sell Pond and Tropical fish.  Fish are transported in these boxes and most shops if you ask nicely will give them to you.
