Been given some broad bean plants

I'm the lucky recipient of 20 broad bean plants in 3 inch pots, all about 6 inches high now. Unfortunately I don't know what variety they are or where they were kept previously.

Can I just plant them out or do they need hardening off? Any other tips gratefully received - thanks

If you don't know their history, I'd play safe, harden them off & then plant out.

Right put them out and they drooped over within an hour

Is that supposed to happen? They have support canes now

bit to much of a cold wind yumy did you put them straight out doors or ina cold frame? supporet em and put them in a cold frame or sheltered area from cold winds for a couple hours a day if this cold wind continues
