Had the urge to dig today so went off to friends plot to dig.  I had big plans, to turn over every bed previously dug to dig out teh remaining couch grass as it would be easy to turn (small plot).        

Best laid plans and all that.. did manage to dig over one half of a bed, to extend it to the edge of the plot and to tackle the other half (under plastic) but still got loads to do there.  So got dug about 15 square yards!But I was also tending a fire at the same time.  But I was there almost 6 hours.  Why is it everything takes so much longer than expected?!  In my defense I did do an exceptionally good job of digging the bit I dug!

So true, today I spent 6 hours in the car driving to newcastle and back for a swimming comp for no. 2 son and the day dragged, I am now brain dead and wondering what I have done all day to be so tired!  sit on my backside is the answer!  Still, he won a silver and bronze in the two minutes he was in the water, so it was almost worth a 6 hours round trip!!

it was more than well  worth it, that's what it's all about and now then treat yourself to a good old bath, may I suggest.
