Its one thing I have actually managed not to sow yet ..... Not as in forgotten, but purposely left as last year I started them too early and they had fruit on them by the time I put them into their final planting place in the unheated greenhouse. I'm thinking of starting them off in a couple of weeks time. Hope it's not too late then.
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

My packets are firmly sealed for the next four weeks at least.

I agree LilacSandy - it is still far to early to start off cukes. They germinate and grow so fast that waiting a few weeks will not make any difference and it will ensure that the plants are not set back by a cold spell.  :)

Just germinated mine in a heated propagator.  The will stay in there for quite a while and then into the greenhouse  with lemonade bottles over them to keep them coszy.

The are Passandra and will be grown in the greenhouse.

Im always horribly late sowing them and by the time they fruit the season is drawing to a close.  I'll be sowing in succession each fortnight. I put the first seeds in this afternoon, this years lemmings are Iznik, Diva , Carmen and miniature white.

Starting April Fool's day I'll go for the successional sowing too.  Don't want to be too early or too late so that way at least one or two pairs of cukes should do well.

First true leaves opening ,but I do have a heated house . However next year will be a month later as I find they do better in PT than under glass.
