One of our little white ducks has died - she was OK when I was rounding them up last night and seemed OK yesterday, doing all of the duck things in the run. It was quite a shock to see her just lying there this morning. OH is blaming an over amorous drake. Now the drake is calling because he knows that one of his ladies is missing.

oh dear so sorry you have lost you little duck, sadly many female ducks are killed in the mating season

If you still have her, have a look at her back end and see if she has an egg stuck.

No egg stuck Spana - definitely blaming the drake.    He was very noisy this morning when he realised one of this ducks was missing but has calmed down now. Wonder what he will be like to-night - he was always last into bed at night.
