Hi guys have taken on a new plot the previous plot holder had not put any black plastic on/or around the tank
there for green algae on top of the water any suggestions please how to remove it.

If it is anything like pond weed/algae then use a stick and twist it, the weed (if solid) should attach to it. If "green water" then I think just covering to exclude the light will get rid of it - alternatively empty the tank and clean it and then start again (sorry!).

I haven't personally tried it, but John (the site owner) used a biological product called Water Butt Klear last year
