Title: Kiwi

Im thinking about adding a kiwi plant to my plot, ive got a redundent peice of trellis up my greenhouse what i could grow it up. has anyone got these growing in the uk? im particulary interested in Actinidia deliciosa Jenny variety as they seem to be the choice hear + female self fertile. anyone got any tips?

my daughter has bought me one for mothers day, its not jenny but it is self fertile.

years ago when i was a teenager i put some seeds from a kiwi into one of my mums plant pots, it went mad and spent many years growing up the side of her garage!! they must have been same sex plants as it never fruited but was quite an attractive plant so i figure even if i dont get fruit it will look nice.

cool. might grab one, will act as a windbreak for my greenhouse too.
